(a)   In accordance with K.S.A. 12-2908 and K.S.A. 12-3301 et seq. there is hereby incorporated by reference for the purpose of providing animal control service and enforcement within the corporate limits of the City of Garden Plain, Kansas, Section 5-1 et seq. of the Sedgwick County Code, as now enacted or may hereafter be amended, concerning Animals. No fewer than three (3) copies of said Section 5-1 et seq. of the Sedgwick County Code shall be marked “Official Copy as adopted by Ordinance No. 579” and to which shall be attached a copy of this article or the original incorporating ordinance, and filed with the City Clerk to be open to inspection and available to the public during normal business hours.

(b)   The Governing Body of the City of Garden Plain does hereby confer jurisdiction within its incorporated boundaries upon Sedgwick County, Kansas in order to further effectuate the provisions of said Sedgwick County Code.

(c)   Pursuant to K.S.A. 12-2908, as amended, the Governing Body is authorized to enter into interlocal agreements with other governmental agencies. The Governing Body of the City of Garden Plain is hereby authorized to enter into an interlocal agreement with Sedgwick County, Kansas for the purpose of animal control service and enforcement.
