A CHARTER ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 5 AND REPEALING SECTION 1 OF CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 5 EXEMPTING THE CITY OF GARDEN PLAIN, KANSAS, FROM THE PROVISIONS OF THE 1979 SUPPLEMENTS TO KANSAS STATUTES ANNOTATED 75-1117, 75-1120, 75-1121 AND 75-1122, SO AS NOT TO REQUIRE SAID CITY TO MAINTAIN FIXED ASSET RECORDS AND ACCOUNTINGS

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF GARDEN PLAIN, KANSAS:

SECTION 1. That the City of Garden Plain, Kansas, a city of the third class, who and by virtue of the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5, of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects to exempt itself from the provisions of K.S.A. 75-1120, as amended by the 1979 supplements thereto, and makes said statute unapplicable to said city insofar as said statute requires the City of Garden Plain, Kansas, to maintain fixed asset records and accountings.

SECTION 2. Section 1 of Charter Ordinance No. 5 is hereby repealed.
