A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF GARDEN PLAIN, KANSAS FROM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-1801 THROUGH K.S.A. 12-1816, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO SIDEWALKS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF GARDEN PLAIN, KANSAS:

SECTION 1. The City of Garden Plain, Kansas under authority of Article 12, Section 5, of the Constitution of the State of Kansas hereby elects to exempt itself from and make inapplicable to itself K.S.A. 12-1801 through K.S.A. 12-1816, as amended, relating to sidewalks, which provision is either an enactment or part thereof which may be applicable to this city but is not applicable uniformly to all cities. The City of Garden Plain may legislate upon the same subject as this Charter Ordinance at a later date by ordinary ordinance.
